Google Earth Imagery [Google Earth Blog]

High resolution imagery is tricky, it takes time and a bit of luck. But NASA do provide recent (6-12 hour old) imagery as a layer.

Are US National ID Cards Going to Snuggle Up With OpenID? [ReadWriteWeb]

Some obvious advantages – everyone gets an OpenID, it would be easy to assert your age, nationality etc. But really no! It would be a PR disaster for OpenID and more significantly it would centralise what should be a federated system.
